December always seems to be a time of reflection for me. As a New year approaches and the past comes to a close I find myself going over the past year and setting goals for the upcoming fresh start. This layout was done for an article on CK magazine. Although I finished the layout it did not have the right feeling for the magazine so I did a new layout. But I kept this one. I have decided to share it today to hopefully motivate someone to set a goal and keep it. Lots of Ditto goodies used on this layout. Happy Holiday.
So I am admitting this out loud. At our house the tree goes up on November 1st...but just lights. We decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving. And the presents go under the tree on Dec 1st. Can you tell how long I LOVE to drag out Christmas?
So with that many days to look at presents I really love to have them wrapped up cute, and a tag is the perfect way to finish off a gift. I used these tags. And then stamps ind inkers.
How about a holiday layout?
Just a simple one. Add one of the tags that you made for your holiday gifts. Add a card, An envelope from this kit, and some felt buttons.
There are so many concerts and holiday events to attend this season. I just happen to be lucky enough that my children give me all of the opportunity that I need for holiday music. Here is my second oldest daughter playing the cello for the High School Choir concert. It was breathtaking. She gave up the cello a year ago and has not touched it in over 7 months. The director asked if she could accompany the piano for one of the songs, and she said "SURE" She then FINALLY picked the cello up 3 days before the concert and it was so beautiful I cried. You know what...here it is you can watch it :) It was taken with my husbands phone so it is not the best quality, but I will share anyway :) She is a freshman this year.
The first gift item is a notepad. But not just any notepad...this one is 8x9. A nice large size. Very simple I first added a 4x6 photo on the right side. I stamped using inkers onto a tag and adhered overlapping the photo along the bottom. And then punched butterflies out of this card...and very simply I have a personalized notepad gift ready to go.
OK how about a simple journal to go with your notepad? Today's post is all about making very fast and easy gifts. Next week's will be a little more involved. For this gift, start with a journal of your choice. Stamp a title on the cover. I used this stamp and inkers. And finish with some embellishments.
Now I know you can do this. These are perfect gifts for that special friend. :)
Happy Wednesday! It is SO hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a short week away! I was looking through my darling Hampton sets looking for something that would would fit in with the holiday. These stamps come from the Patchwork Pals set. I just love it. I've used it quite a bit! I hope you enjoy!
Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
I don't know about your part of the woods, but here it's been sooo chilly and it's just screaming Christmas! :) Ok... some may say it's a little early, but that's how I feel so I just had to pull out my adorable Hampton Art stamps and be festive!
It's too bad you can't see how it sparkles in the light! I hope you enjoy!
Ok so I think I may have used just about every product in the Ditto line for this album. It means so much to me. This was our last family vacation 2 years ago. I used stamps for every set, inkers, journal inserts for 8x8, Just so in love, and all of the products worked AMAZINGLY well!!!!
SO here are some of the inside pages....
We are going on vacation in 3 weeks and I am pre-making a new album to document along the way and have the kids this year do some of the journaling. And then all I will have to do is add photos :) :)
